Police: Driver Engaged In Sexual Activity When Truck Slams Into Home
LEWISTON, Idaho. - A Lewiston couple escaped unharmed after they left their kitchen for the living room, just moments before a pickup truck came crashing through the kitchen wall.
Lewiston police say a drunken driver was apparently participating in sexual activity with a passenger when he lost control, left the road and drove a 2003 Dodge pickup through the house, coming to rest in a nearby yard. The Lewiston Tribune reports that neither the driver nor his passenger were injured. The driver was arrested on a misdemeanor drunken driving charge.
The residents of the home, Teresa Roesner-Weatherby and her husband, Bill Weatherby, also escaped injury. Damage to the home is estimated at about $50,000.

Child Directs Airplane Traffic at JFK

An audio clip has been released with the distinct voice of a young child directing air traffic over one of the nation's busiest airports. Officials at the Federal Aviation Administration and a union representing air traffic controllers at John F. Kennedy International Airport may have mouthed the legendary words of Ted Striker.
Surely you can't be serious.
Both released statements to My Fox Boston condemning the behavior and indicating that the employees involved are no longer controlling air traffic pending the outcome of an investigation. FAA officials have confirmed the authenticity of the audio to the station. The child apparently made five transmissions.

Newlywed Couple Spend 1st Night In Jail

HYANNIS, Mass. – A newlywed Massachusetts couple spent their wedding night in separate jail cells after police said the bride tried to run over an old flame of the groom.
Police say 22-year-old Hyannis resident Marissa Ann Putignano-Keene tried Monday to run over the other woman and the woman's son in a parking lot. The intended victim later told police that she had previously been in an intimate relationship with the groom.

Police say the couple got married at Barnstable Town Hall and split a bottle of Champagne afterward.
The bride was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Her husband, 37-year-old Timothy Keene, was riding in the car with her and was charged with disorderly conduct.
Both were released Tuesday. It was unclear if either had hired an attorney.
Gee..why bother to even get married...

Dominos New Recipe Doubles It's Profits

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Revamped pizza and a frank advertising campaign helped Domino's Pizza Inc. more than double its fourth-quarter profit as curious customers tried out its new recipe, the delivery chain said Tuesday.
Executives have said that the chain decided to start overhauling its recipes more than 18 months ago after mounting criticism from focus groups and on social media sites. And it boldly admitted in a series of documentary-style spots that under its old recipe, customers complained its crust tasted like cardboard and its sauce was reminiscent of ketchup.

Two Russians Boil to Death in Sauna Plunge Pool

In a Russian sauna, two men boiled to death after jumping into a typically ice cold plunge pool which had accidentally been heated to the point of boiling. The Sauna was located in the city of Kirov in central Russia, and a local investigation confirmed that "their death was caused by overheating." According to the report, the fatal temperature in the plunge pool was due to "an error by one of the victims."
Wow...wonder if something like this could happen in the United States...I think I would've stuck a toe in first...

Man Loses $53 Million Deposit

Mikhail Prokhorov, Russia's second richest man, has lost his $53 million deposit for Villa Leopolda, a mansion in the south of France. The house, which was created for King Leopold II of Belgium, was to be sold for $530 million. The sale would have made it the most expensive house in the world. Prokhorov, who is worth almost $18 Billion, according to Finans magazine, was forced to pull out of the purchase due to the unstable world economy. The purchase is likely to cause a degree of humiliation for Prokhorov, whose images also suffered a blow when he was arrested by French police for allegedly flying prostitutes into a villa in the French Alps in January of 2007. He was later cleared of the charges but his reputation had been tarnished. The house will remain in the hands of its current owner, 71-year-old Lily Safra. Safra inherited the house after the murder of her husband, Edmund, in 1999.
Just imagine...At least the owner will use the proceeds to better the world.
